Austin Street Shelter Tour

9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m
Students involved in Lake Dallas Football and the Lake Dallas High School Student Council have teamed up to help the homeless in North Texas. We have been hosting a clothing and necessity drive on our campus for several weeks, and have been able to collect many items.
On Saturday, January 17, 2015, we will be taking a bus to the Austin Street Shelter in Dallas to deliver the items and tour the shelter. The tour starts at 11:00 a.m., so we will be leaving campus at 9:30 a.m. and returning around 2:00 p.m.
Each student participating is asked to bring a bag of either new or gently used winter clothes or new toiletries.
This is going to be a wonderful experience for the kids, as they will be able to see how their charity and generosity impacts their community and helps those in need.
Please remember to sign and return the permission slip for your child to be able to attend. Forms are due back no later than Friday, January 16.
